Whether these are up your alley or not, now is the time to step out of your comfort zone and who knows, maybe you’ll find some new hobbies! If you don’t know our “Bored in the House” reference, listen to it here.

#1 Try out some fitness classes

Since gyms and fitness centres have closed, many of these companies have started hosting virtual classes on social media platforms such a Instagram and Facebook. A popular boxing class joining the trend is Rumble Boxing, based on the East and West coasts of the States. Instructors are hosting classes on Instagram live which anyone can join! They are predominantly 30 to 45min shadow boxing and cardio classes, with a warm-up and cool-down. However if you miss the live class, check out some Youtube workouts. POPSUGAR Fitness is a great fitness channel that ranges from videos such as “30-Minute Restorative Yoga and Meditation” to “20-Minute Dance Cardio & Sculpting Workout

#2 Practice your cooking skills

There’s no better time to work on those cooking skills than now! Take out that Recipe book from your kitchen cupboard and get to it. Treat yourself by conjuring up some meals or baked goods such as the ones pictured below. You may even want to try some new recipes, vegan banana bread? Check out The Minimalist Baker for some vegan recipes to change it up.

#3 Try out some new apps

Scrolling through your camera roll and reminiscing? Try out some new editing apps to enhance your photos! LucidPix creates 3D images that no other app has been able to reproduce. Users are able to export their 3D creations as animated GIFS or videos for sharing on all social platforms, and they can get creative by adding filters, frames and selecting how they want their video to look. We all know there will be a lot of “Throwback Thursdays”, so why not spruce up your photos and post them in 3D? Check us out on Instagram for some inspiration @lucidpix3d!

#4 Keep a journal

In times like these, it is even more important to check in with yourself and to have an outlet for processing your emotions. With the overwhelming number of media reports and stories on COVID-19, it can be hard to navigate through these circumstances. To help deal with this, try keeping a journal to track how you’re feeling. Go old-school and order a trendy notebook from Amazon or try out the Day One Journal app that helps document your daily feelings.

#5 Dance it out with TikTok

Last but not least, do something fun with your friends, family or whomever you are in isolation with (even if that’s just you!) and try learning a dance. Scroll through TikTok to find dances that range from beginners to expert-level Charli D’Amelio choreography. Either way, dance helps release endorphins, instantly helping your mood and also gets you moving!

You can Download LucidPix for Android and Download for iPhone, making sure to share your photos on the LucidPix Facebook pages for a chance to get featured in the group! You can share them to Best of LucidPix 3D photos, LucidPix 3D photos on Facebook, or another 3D Facebook group page!
