Lucid is a leading AI vision startup developing software solutions for 3D capture and depth sensing based on machine learning. You can learn more about Lucid at LucidInside.com.
LucidPix is an app that allows users to take 3D photos, add fun 3D frames to photos, and share these photos on social media or within the app’s community of 3D fans. Available for free on both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, this unique 3D photo app is available to virtually anyone with a smartphone.
Instead of using complicated 3D displays or multi-camera systems to display and capture 3D images, LucidPix uses advanced AI technology to process depth like the human brain does, allowing you to experience 3D naturally.
LucidPix was created by a group of talented individuals, led by the following people.
Co-Founder & CEO
Han is the Co-founder/CEO of Lucid. They developed the world’s first AI-based 3D and depth capture technology mimicking human vision in dual/multi camera devices which is currently deployed in their own product, the LucidCam, in many mobile phones, robots, and aiming to be in autonomous cars. Born in China and raised in Germany, he studied, worked and lived in 8 countries before graduating with a masters degree in IEOR from UC Berkeley which directed him initially into product/program management and operations at SanDisk, and later into founding, operating and fundraising for startups in AI and computer vision. He did not just close multi-million funding rounds, but also turned companies profitable and scaled them internationally all before the age of 30. Jin received the global Golden Stevie award for Best Entrepreneur of the year 2018, and is one of the Forbes 30 Under 30 in consumer electronics. Inc Magazine featured him on its May 2017 cover as one of America’s rising stars.
Co-Founder & CTO
Adam is the co-founder and CTO of Lucid. His breakthrough research in computer vision and signal processing as a PhD at Stanford powers the technology behind Lucid’s 3D Fusion Technology, world’s first AI-based 3D and depth capture technology mimicking human vision in dual/multi camera devices which is currently deployed in their own product, the LucidCam, in most of mobile phones, robots, and aiming to be in autonomous cars. He worked for many years in the industry for Exponent as a consultant focused on machine learning and computer vision development, from consumer to business to military applications, coding and leading engineering teams to build the most advanced GPU/NPU based systems in the industry. Afterwards, he joined Maxim Integrated in their Advanced Analytics team, optimizing the organization of the 10,000 employee public company from the ground up. Adam defines the technology direction and leads Lucid’s engineering team.
Head of APAC
Arther is the Head of APAC at Lucid. He was previously the Head of Global Sales at Cheetah Mobile, a public NASDAQ company (NYSE: CMCM) which he took IPO in 2014. He focused on scaling Cheetah’s sales teams across Asia, Europe and North America and created Mobile Monetization strategies helping increase revenue to $1M+ a day. He led innovation at Cheetah, implementing new revenue channels, video streaming services, and influencer marketing collaborations which drove mobile downloads and cash transactions. Even though Arther performs exceptionally on the business side, he actually comes from a strong engineering background with 14 years of research experience at Trend Micro. He is not just an excellent leader of business organizations, but also built many engineering teams from the ground up including Cheetah’s entire Taiwan office of 200+ people in Taiwan. Arther leads customer acquisition and conversion, as well implements monetization strategies for Lucid in APAC.
